What you do for 3C-REN?
I support the larger 3C-REN team to deliver our programs. I lead on the administrative tasks like oversight of budgets, expenses, reimbursements, and management of all contracts. I also handle CPUC reporting, coordination, and regulatory filings. In partnership with other counties, I work to establish the wide portfolio-level strategy and strategic oversight of high-level programmatic items like program design, meeting of goals, program collaboration with other REN’s and utilities.

What you do for 3C-REN?
I support 3C-REN’s portfolio of programs, coordinating closely with 3C-REN’s leadership on strategy, marketing, contracting, and regulatory efforts with the CPUC and CEC. I have oversight over the Energy Code Connect and Commercial Energy Savings programs. I have been a Board member with the California Association of Building Energy Consultants (CABEC) since 2020. I also enjoy focusing on relationship development with other organizations and RENs across the state.
Personal tidbit:
I am incorrigible. Oh… and I bake sourdough bread.

As 3C-REN’s Portfolio Manager, I support our program teams to stay coordinated and identify program synergies. I help develop program processes to improve data collection and program evaluation, as well as support 3C-REN’s marketing efforts.

Building Performance Training Program Manager

What you do for 3C-REN?
I manage our Building Performance Training program and am part of the support team for Energy Code Connect. With both programs being geared toward supporting the building trades, I find myself working closely with local organizations while trying to stay up to date with their needs, and industry best practices.

I’m an amateur outdoorsman and professional tinkerer.

What you do for 3C-REN?
I manage the development and implementation of our new Agricultural program. Ag Energy Solutions will provide free-of-charge technical assistance to Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) producers, identifying where energy upgrades can be made in their operations to save energy and reduce costs.
Personal tidbit:
My favorite pastime is going to the movies. It doesn’t matter if there’s nothing good on, I just enjoy going to the movie theater.

I am actively engaged in bolstering the Building Performance Training Program by spearheading course facilitation, implementing effective workforce outreach initiatives, and optimizing cross-program operations.

Maricela joined the Sustainability Division as a Program Administrator in 2024, where she is dedicated to advancing the county’s sustainability initiatives.

I manage the Single Family Home Energy Savings program. I support homeowners in making their homes more energy efficient, ensuring that they can access all relevant incentive programs, and connecting them with contractors to provide quality work.

I love beach volleyball and jumping in the ocean.

I manage the Multifamily Home Energy Savings program, and look for ways we can expand what the program can provide to property owners. I also support the Single-Family Home Energy Savings program, and 3C-REN’s marketing efforts.
Personal tidbit:
In my free time, I’m either riding bikes or building something in the woodshop.

I support community outreach and stakeholder engagement for the Single-Family Home Energy Savings program. I also help lead the Resilient Central Coast campaign to provide everyday opportunities for individuals and families to reduce emissions and prepare for climate change.
Personal tidbit:
I enjoy baking, biking, traveling, and camping—and incorporating all of them into fun adventures. I also love helping others experience the joy and freedom of bikes and e-bikes.

What you do for 3C-REN?
I manage the Energy Code Coach service and facilitate virtual and in-person courses and workshops. I support the development of regional forums, marketing and outreach, and overall process improvements for efficient event management and data collection.
Personal tidbit:
I love to travel and be creative. Whether I’m scrapbooking a recent trip or making a quilt from fabric bought as souvenirs, I love to create something that reminds me of experiencing different places and cultures.
