3C-REN was busy in 2022!
Events are a key way 3C-REN serves the tri-county region, offering an opportunity to connect with you all. From trainings focused on building performance, to energy code policy forums and outreach events sharing the latest on our Home Energy Savings program, events are a meaningful point of connection with the community.
And finally, our partners were key to 3C-REN’s success, with 73 organizations collaborating on events in 2022. Collaborations include event instructors, hosts, promotional partners and more. Reply to this email or email info@3c-ren.org if you’d like to talk about partnering with 3C-REN in 2023.

Tax Credits in the Inflation Reduction Act
You’ve probably heard that the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) provides additional tax credits for individuals, contractors, and manufacturers to help cover the costs of energy upgrades.
As part of the act, some pre-existing tax credits were renewed at higher rates, such as the 25C Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit, which now covers up to 30 percent of the cost to upgrade to energy efficient appliances, home weatherization, and contracted energy audits.
Contractors can claim new tax credits, like the 45L New Energy Efficient Home Credit which offers up to $5,000 per unit for new construction or major retrofits. The 179D Energy Efficient Commercial Buildings Deduction offers up to $5/sf for reductions in energy use intensity or energy costs.
Manufacturers should keep an eye on the 48C Advanced Energy Product Tax Credit, a $10 billion funding pool that can be applied to projects designed to produce clean energy products or technologies, energy efficient appliances, and more.
