Event Description

This class will cover the basics of residential HVAC design following the industry standard and code-referenced ACCA Manuals J, S and D. It will discuss the four steps of the design process:

  1. Collecting information about the house.
  2. Performing load calculations (Manual J)
  3. Selecting equipment appropriate to the load calculations (Manual S)
  4. Design a duct system for efficiency and comfort (Manual D)

It will also discuss some of the new technologies and software that has reduced the time it takes to do a design by up to 75%.
