Join 3C-REN and the California Energy Commission (CEC) in San Luis Obispo for an in-person forum offering a unique opportunity for the Central Coast building community to help shape the future of energy code compliance in California.
Local building departments staff, architects, designers, engineers, sustainability professionals, ECC Raters, energy consultants, builders, contractors, and other building-industry partners are invited to:
- Hear directly from the CEC about their ongoing compliance initiatives and why it matters to building projects on the Central Coast.
- Learn from other Central Coast professionals about common challenges and approaches that are working.
- Discuss systematic and recurring problems involving plans, documentation, permitting, construction, verification, and inspections.
- Share ideas for making compliance clearer, more consistent, and less burdensome while supporting affordability, sustainability, and better-performing buildings.
- Connect directly with 3C-REN team members, CEC staff, building departments, and industry peers.
This collaborative forum is a unique opportunity to provide meaningful feedback directly to the CEC and 3C-REN to highlight regional needs and local priorities.
Following the presentations, attendees will have the opportunity to continue the conversation and engage directly with CEC & 3C-REN staff and/or network with fellow attendees over lunch.
