This course is beneficial for architects, engineers and other design professionals, builders, owners and developers, plans examiners, and others who are interested in efficiency and accuracy in energy code compliance.

We will walk through the 2022 Residential Title 24 energy code compliance forms, highlighting the areas that are significant to the project’s results. We’ll discuss what goes into the forms, how to identify errors and inconsistencies and how to get it right the first time. This course is beneficial for architects, engineers and other design professionals, builders, owners and developers, plans examiners, and others who are interested in efficiency and accuracy in energy code compliance.

Modeling All-Electric Homes in the 2022 Energy Code

All-Electric Homes are having their moment, with state policies, incentives, and energy code providing builders, homeowners, and energy consultants a strong nudge toward all-electric designs. We will go over how to model all-electric homes (single family and multifamily) for maximum compliance benefit, including the Variable Capacity Heat Pump (VCHP) compliance credit and Heat Pump Water Heaters.

What Energy Consultants need to Know About QII

This course will cover what Energy Consultants need to know about Quality Insulation Installation (QII) to best their clients meet the Title 24 Energy Code. QII is much more than just doing a good job installing insulation.  It requires pre-planning and a lot of coordination between multiple trades.  This class will discuss the important things to look for and how to use the compliance documents (CF2R forms) as invaluable checklists.

Central Coast and Ventura ICC Chapter Series – CalGreen Overview and 2022 Changes

Developed for Central Coast and Ventura Region International Code Council (ICC) Members, this course provides an overview of the California Green Building Standards (CalGreen) and will review changes in the 2022 code. We’ll provide examples of implementation and highlight key strategies for a smooth plan review and acceptance process. 

ICC Chapter Energy Code for ADUs

Developed for Central Coast and Ventura Region International Code Council (ICC) Members, this course provides an overview of the 2022 Title 24 Energy Code changes for Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) for code officials, building safety, and building department staff. We’ll provide examples of implementation and highlight key strategies for a smooth plan review and acceptance process.

ICC Chapter Energy Code for Multifamily

Developed for Central Coast and Ventura Region International Code Council (ICC) Members, this course provides an overview of the 2022 Title 24 Energy Code changes for Multi Family (new, additions and alterations) for code officials, building safety, and building department staff. We’ll provide examples of implementation and highlight key strategies for a smooth plan review and acceptance process.

Acceptance Testing and Commissioning for Nonresidential

This course focuses on Commissioning as required by Title 24, Part 11, and Acceptance Testing as required by Title 24, Part 6. We’ll review background of the code, the logistics of implementation and the specific requirements for non-residential construction.
