2022 CalGreen Codes for Residential and Non-Residential

This course focuses on Title 24, Part 11, the California Green Building Standards. We’ll review background of the code, the logistics of implementation and the specific requirements for residential and non-residential construction.

Energy Code Implementation: Multi-Family

Since the energy code update took effect in January 2023, the industry is adjusting to design, detailing and construction to meet compliance. In this series, we’ll review the code requirements with a focus on what to include in construction documents to streamline the permitting process and tips for construction to ease signoffs and occupancy.

Embodied Carbon, the term that identifies the collective impacts of extracting, manufacturing and transporting building materials, is appearing on everything from requests for proposals to the next round of the building code. In this course we’ll provide practical approaches to reducing embodied carbon in residential and commercial projects.

Addressing the Energy Water Nexus: Zero Net Carbon Design Series

The Zero Net Carbon Design (ZNCD) Series, will begin with the background and an overview of carbon in the building industry, then focus content on energy performance and renewable energy, water-savings as energy-savings, embodied carbon, and finally regenerative design.
