DESCRIPTION:Register \nEvent Description \nContractors and other interested building professionals are invited to join 3C-REN at the Santa Maria Valley Contractor Association’s Cornhole Tournament on October 25\, 2024! 3C-REN is proud to co-sponsor this event to provide attendees an opportunity to network\, build business connections\, and learn about 2025 Energy Code updates. 3C-REN will be hosting a speaker session during the event and run a booth with informational resources about programs contractors can take advantage of. Check-in begins at 9AM at the Santa Maria Country Club\, and the cornhole tournament will kick off at 10AM. \nPanel Speakers \nJudy Rachel\, Home Performance Pro \nJudy is a home performance consulting and diagnostic testing professional serving dry climates since 2008. Her firm has been guiding homeowners through performance and energy efficiency home retrofits with the goal of decreasing the home’s environmental impact. Judy writes and teaches building science curricula for community colleges\, workforce training programs and technical training providers. She is part of a team that provides hands-on trainings of deep energy retrofits in homes\, HVAC installations and commissioning of performance HVAC systems. \nNick Brown\, Build Smart Group \nNick Brown is President of Build Smart\, an independent energy consultancy specializing in California energy modeling\, energy code\, and building performance that supports builders and architects in designing energy-efficient buildings. Nick is a Certified Energy Analyst (CEA) for residential and an Associate Energy Analyst (AEA) for nonresidential construction by the California Association of Building Energy Consultants (CABEC). \nJennifer Rennick\, In Balance Green Consulting \nJennifer\, an Architect and a Certified Energy Analyst\, specializes in energy use optimization\, including passive solar design\, whole building energy use\, zero net energy\, and energy modeling and analysis.
