QII For Contractors

In the 2019 California Energy Code, QII (Quality Insulation Installation) changed from a credit measure to prescriptive measure, meaning it sets the target for compliance. QII is a protocol for the verification of proper installation of insulation in newly constructed homes. It is based on industry standards and manufacturer’s instructions.
