Colomé\, Sc.D. received his doctorate in Environmental Health Sciences from Harvard University\, with an emphasis in air pollution control. He also earned an S.B. degree in Biological Sciences (molecular biology) from Stanford University. His research is in the areas of air pollution exposure\, pollution control\, epidemiology\, and risk assessment. He has served on the faculties of the University of California campuses at Irvine and Los Angeles. He is co-founder of Aromatica\, a firm developing and manufacturing emission control and aroma capture equipment for the wine industry. Dr. Colomé currently serves as the medical appointee for the Santa Barbara County APCD Hearing Board\, sits on the Advisory Committee for the Ventura County APCD and served as the mayor’s appointee to the City of Ojai Climate Emergency Mobilization Committee. \n[/column]\n[/row] \nBen Hummer\nResidential Manager\, West Coast Air Conditioning\, Heating & Solar\n[row class=”speaker-row”]\n[column size=”col-2″] \n\n[/column]\n[column size=”col-8″ class=”speaker-text”] \n[/column]\n[/row] \nJessica Leader\nDirector of Strategic Outreach\, Building Decarbonization Coalition\n[row class=”speaker-row”]\n[column size=”col-2″] \n\n[/column]\n[column size=”col-8″ class=”speaker-text”] \nAs the Director of Strategic Outreach for the Building Decarbonization Coalition (BDC)\, Jessica oversees the organization’s consumer campaigns and communications strategy. Prior to joining the BDC\, Ms. Leader served as the Corporate Communications Manager for Sunrun\, the national leader in home solar and energy services. Prior to Sunrun\, Ms. Leader served as the Communications Director for FreeWire Technologies and as the Director of Eco\, Wellness and Social Responsibility Partnerships for the HuffPost Partner Studio. \n[/column]\n[/row] \nRyan Montague\nService Manager\, SolarPonics\n[row class=”speaker-row”]\n[column size=”col-2″] \n\n[/column]\n[column size=”col-8″ class=”speaker-text”] \nRyan Montague is service manager at SolarPonics. His path crossed with SolarPonics nine years ago\, when he finally found a balance between making a living and making a difference. Although fond of the latest trends and technology\, he preaches reliability and affordability as the keys to sustainable energy system success. He believes in using as little as we can to live and giving as much as we can back to our community and the planet. \n[/column]\n[/row] \nFrank Scotti\nMarketing Director\, SolarPonics\n[row class=”speaker-row”]\n[column size=”col-2″] \n\n[/column]\n[column size=”col-8″ class=”speaker-text”] \nFrank Scotti is marketing director at SolarPonics. He joined the company in 2012. He received his certificate in Energy Innovation and Emerging Technologies Program from Stanford University\, School of Engineering\, setting him on the path of sustainable energy advocacy. He wrote the resolution to proclaim June 21 “Solar Energy Day\,” which he hopes will now become “Net Zero Energy Day.” Mr. Scotti has solar electric\, solar pool heating\, heat pump water heating\, and water recirculation pump systems on his home in Templeton. \n[/column]\n[/row] \nMarc Whitman\nHomeowner with a Heat Pump System\n[row class=”speaker-row”]\n[column size=”col-2″] \n\n[/column]\n[column size=”col-8″ class=”speaker-text”] \nMarc grew up in Ojai and makes that his home with wife and family. He has a small Architects firm\, graduated from ASU School of Architecture in 1981\, and has been a licensed architect since 1989. He is also a licensed contractor and LEED associate. Marc has been practicing and an advocate for green building his entire career. He is now serving on the CCGBC (Central Coast green building council)\, AIA COTE (Committee on the Environment)\, the Ventura County AIA Board of Directors\, and the Ojai Climate Emergency Action Committee. Marc is also is part of a family foundation dedicated to nature education and nature preservation. He is currently focusing on the embodied carbon impacts of the built environment. Marc likes to Plein Aire Oil Paint\, Swim and Argentinian Tango. \n[/column]\n[/row] \n
