In this course, we\u2019ll share the nuts and bolts of incorporating all-electric systems into residential and small commercial projects, including tips for implementation as well as client communication. We\u2019ll provide straight-forward information on current systems and technologies plus a look ahead at what\u2019s emerging in the market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Part 1: Carbon Reduction through Building Electrification will address California\u2019s targets for carbon reduction, status of the clean power grid, the role of energy storage and emerging options for refrigerants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Part 2: Heat Pumps for Heating and Cooling,<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>will address ducted and ductless heat pumps for thermal comfort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Part 3: Domestic Hot Water<\/strong>, will focus on integrated and split-system Heat Pump Water Heaters, as well as combination systems and point-of-use electric resistance water heaters<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Part 4: Ventilation and HRV, will look at exhaust fans, ducted ventilation and heat recovery ventilators that support energy efficiency and healthy interiors<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Part 5: Appliances &amp; Energy Storage, looks at electric options for cooktops, dryers and other appliances as well as current and emerging battery technologies for energy storage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Learning Objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Learn the \u2018why\u2019 behind California\u2019s shift to building electrification and the link to Zero Net Carbon Design<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Learn the pros and cons of various products to help in selecting appropriate systems that meet electrification and carbon-reduction goals<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Learn critical installation details such as dimensions and venting to call out in plans and\/or identify early in construction<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understand the local market for specific all-electric\/ZNCD equipment, including cost, availability and lead times<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.3c-ren.org\/trainings-aug-29-2024\/#top\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>All-Electric Design &amp; Construction Series On the path to&nbsp;Zero Net Carbon Design, building electrification is the key to reducing operational carbon.
